The day the trommel arrived was a long one for sure.
There were transport issues — the kind that come with moving large equipment across any meaningful distance, the kind that stack frustration on top of logistics on top of the particular anxiety of waiting for something important that is not yet in your possession. These things happen. Equipment moves when it moves, on its own schedule, indifferent to the timeline you had carefully arranged in your head.
It did not seem to matter.
Because this was a dream for Allen Fant. He started this work in 2009 — not with a business plan or a market study, but with the thing he has always had in abundance: curiosity. Wonder. A stubborn, generous hope for what could be done with a piece of North Florida ground if you paid close enough attention to what it needed.
