Celebrating Our Coastal Fibershed

09/21/2019

A day of Regenerative Agriculture Education

Join a growing community of landowners, conservationists, ranchers, farmers, knitters, and weavers for a a day of regenerative agricultural education and fun at UC Elkus Ranch. Explore the interconnection of fiber and the local landscape at the first Fibershed community event in San Mateo County. Guests will enjoy an informative dialogue about the importance of fiber, agriculture, and landscapes to our community, with guest speaker and Fibershed founder Rebecca Burgess. Visitors can then meet local producers and purchase fiber goods, attend educational demonstrations, and enjoy a delicious meal prepared by Chef Tim Edmonds.

“Celebrating our coastal fibershed” is also a unique opportunity to explore UC Elkus Ranch, a conserved working ranch focusing on youth education and preserving agricultural skills, recently featured on the Fibershed blog. This festive day of learning will serve as a fundraiser to provide critical support for Elkus Ranch’s educational programs.
