ESG and Regenerative Agriculture

12/02/2022

Building a public company in the food and agriculture sector is relatively unforged ground in Western Australia. In 2015, Wide Open Agriculture decided to embark on this journey to create a 4 Returns company that delivered measurable outcomes on financial, natural, social and inspirational returns.

Ben Cole, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Wide Open Agriculture will share his experiences from pre-seed to successful IPO in 2018 and the journey to date. This will include the experiences of communicating a for-purpose, for-profit business model to both retail and institutional investors.

Ben will describe the success in building their food brand, Dirty Clean Food by connecting regenerative farmers with conscious food consumers. The presentation will offer insights into their omni-channel distribution (food service, retail and home delivery) plus the launch of the world’s first regenerative, carbon-neutral oat milk and a lupin-based protein, Buntine Protein. The presentation will offer an update on their program to partner with regen farmers and the quantitative measures used to demonstrate the benefits and uptake of regen farming practices with a focus on natural capital accounting, remote sensing of soil organic carbon, genetic biodiversity measures.

Benjamin Tiller, Agribusiness Australia Director and CBH Group Head of Trading, will welcome you facilitate the Q&A.

With thanks to BDO in Perth for hosting this event, join us for breakfast and networking.

Open to all. We look forward to seeing you there!
