Food systems shape far more than what we eat—from climate and biodiversity to health and human well-being. In Bhutan, the first Global Conscious Food Systems Summit will bring together leaders from across policy, investment, and food system innovation to help shape a collective agenda for food systems transformation.
The Royal Government of Bhutan and the Conscious Food Systems Alliance (CoFSA), together with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and partners, are hosting the first Global Conscious Food Systems Summit in Bhutan from 31 August–4 September 2026.
This landmark gathering will advance a new paradigm for food systems transformation—one that recognizes the vital role of culture, values, spirituality, happiness, and inner development in catalyzing systemic change and regeneration.
The Summit seeks to catalyze movement-building, collective action, and investment to integrate the inner dimension of food systems transformation across international, national, and local agendas, accelerating progress toward sustainability, justice, and wellbeing. Melanie Moran, Digital Communications Manager, will attend on behalf of the Global Alliance.
