The Minnesota Office for Soil Health presents a Soil Health Economics Forum to examine the financial side of building soil health, identify gaps in knowledge, and plan next steps for research and building partnerships. The event is intended for representatives of agricultural industry, farmers, farmer organizations, researchers, educators, and local, state, and federal government agencies. Presenters will help attendees understand the potential of multiple approaches for analyzing soil health economics including farm enterprise budgets, risk management, resilience to weather variation, and the data needs of the financial services sector.
