At the same time, increasing climate variability in 2026, including El Niño conditions, prolonged heat waves, and erratic rainfall, is intensifying production risks for farmers and exposing the vulnerability of input-intensive agricultural systems. These converging challenges underscore the urgent need for farming approaches that reduce dependence on external inputs while strengthening resilience to climate and market shocks.
This webinar will explore how agroecological approaches, with a special focus on the Andhra Pradesh Community-managed Natural Farming (APCNF) programme, offer practical and scalable solutions. By eliminating reliance on synthetic fertilisers, Natural Farming helps farmers reduce exposure to volatile global fertiliser markets, lower cultivation costs, improve soil health, and enhance resilience to climate stress.
