Webinar – Composting to Heal the Earth – an online talk

September 16

A climate activist’s journey from a community garden in Brighton to the inner life of soil & social enterprise for ecosystem restoration

Join Thomas Daniell, co-founder of Old Tree Brewery and Compost Club in Brighton for this online talk about the impact of living soil & composting on our health & climate.

Tom will start by sharing his personal story from finding roots in Brighton through community gardening & climate activism; to learning about the world of soil biology & how many solutions to our deepest social & ecological crises are waiting for us to adopt a different approach to our food & farming system.

He’ll explain some of the main reasons why composting is so valuable as well as provide practical tips on how to make complete compost to restore living soil – the foundation of biodiversity on land. He will also signpost listeners in Brighton & Hove to some exciting local projects they might want to get involved with & share insights from his up & coming course on how we can all best eliminate organic waste in our lives to boost our native biodiversity, bring carbon home & feed the life that feeds us.
