Intestinal parasites are a persistent problem in pastured pig systems, but organic parasite control strategies are not reliable. In this webinar, project leaders and farmers from Rodale Institute will provide research updates on a USDA NIFA Organic Transition grant-funded project focusing on organic parasite control through manure and pasture management. Updates include composting manure to destroy infective parasite eggs and biofumigation of soil to reduce parasite eggs in pasture.
Presenters include Rick Carr, Sara Major and Baylor Lansden.
