Join us for a live conservation with Lindsey Mann, owner of Stellar Roots Herb Farm in Tiger, Georgia, as she shares her journey of becoming an organic herb farmer in North Georgia. With years of experience in landscape design and organic farming, Lindsey will discuss the challenges and processes involved in starting an organic herb farm and navigating the organic certification process. This webinar is designed for current and transitioning organic farmers. Gain real-world insights into organic farming systems, certification, and the practical obstacles farmers face. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions and receive valuable guidance for their own farming journey. Don’t miss this chance to learn from experienced peers!
Register now for an engaging science-policy event focused on the Agroecological Transition of Food Systems in Africa. This day-long event will showcase insights from nine EU-Africa projects and will be held at the prestigious Brussels Museum of Natural Sciences.
The conference will provide state-of-the-art scientific evidence on agroecological approaches for improved resilience of African smallholder farmers. It will share insights from the following nine collaborative projects, funded by Horizon 2020, DeSIRA EU and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation:
Around the world, young and brave professionals are working hard to develop new practices and values that aim to make farms regenerate landscapes and soils.
Join us for the next session of Regen Reflections, as we explore how farmers and value chain actors are demonstrating insightful and meaningful data on the benefits of adopting regenerative agriculture practices in different contexts.
The discussions will centre on scaling climate-smart agricultural practices, unlocking investment opportunities, and integrating nature-based solutions into regional and global food systems. By bringing together visionaries and changemakers, the summit aims to position the MENAT region as a global leader in arid land agriculture, setting new benchmarks for climate resilience, food security, and ecological regeneration.
The topic of regenerative agriculture is being addressed globally. Recently, one of the most media-driven land management systems is regenerative agriculture, which integrates several new directions focused on ecological principles of crop cultivation.
We are delighted to announce that the 2025 edition of SAI Platform’s member only Annual Event will take place between 19th and 22nd May in Paris, France.
This session will see Organic Research Centre, Project Partners Andrew Sincock from Agriton, and farmer Andy Howard introduce the Feed the Soil Project that is studying evidence on the impacts of compost and its products on soil health and crop production. Farmers will share practical experiences of integrating composting into their farming systems. Andy Howard will discuss how they have been using Johnson-Su compost extracts on arable farm in Kent and Andrew Sincock will share insights and approaches for using Bokashi at a farm scale.
Among the many problems facing the world is how the projected 9 billion people who will be living on the planet in 2050 can be fed. Currently there are over 2.3 billion people globally who are food insecure while the farming industry struggles to meet the challenges of climate change and disruptions to global supply chains. While the late 20th century witnessed dramatic increases in the production of food this came at a cost of loss of biodiversity, diffuse pollution and a decline in the nutritive quality of what we eat. This talk will evaluate these issues and assess the movement towards a more regenerative approach to farming and food production.
