Regeneration Midwest

Regeneration Midwest was launched in 2018, to promote and expand the organic and regenerative food and farming movement in the Midwest.

We are identifying and mapping best practices, and networking best practitioners in a dozen Midwest states. Our work included facilitating farmer-to-farmer relationships, educating consumers, policymakers and investors, and collaborating with all stakeholders on a strategy for making organic and regenerative practices the norm, not the alternative.

The degeneration of our climate, public health, soil, environment, politics and economy (especially rural economies) demand that we move away from current food, farming  and land use practices to what we call the “next stage” of organic and agroecological agriculture. Through regenerative farming and livestock management practices we can drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions, sequester excess atmospheric carbon in our soils, restore watersheds, grasslands and forests, and as part of a new green economy, reverse global warming. At the same time we can improve soil fertility, food quality, animal welfare, public health, farmer and food chain worker incomes, and we can reinvigorate rural and urban economies.

Please join this powerful movement to regenerate the food and farming system, the economy and the human and environmental health of the Midwest region.
