Joining us live from Australia, over the course of the webinar, Joel will cover 4 key areas;

  • Plant Nutrition; the roles and functions of essential nutrients
  • Foliar Fertilizing: science of nutrient uptake and tips on foliar feeding
  • Plant Species Diversity
  • Nitrogen Management – nitrogen cycling, N in the soil, N use in plants, concluding with some strategies to reduce N inputs

We will leave enough time to conclude with an open Q&A session to give you time to pose some questions to him.

We’re delighted Joel has agreed to support our winter webinar series, particularly as he is working abroad at this time, to give you some background, here is his Biog: Joel Williams is an independent plant and soil health educator and consultant who has worked extensively in Australia, Europe and Canada where he is currently based. He has a keen interest in agroecology, plant nutrition and plant and soil microbiomes and how these may support the development of sustainable production systems. Joel has a Bachelor of Agricultural Science specialising in plant and soil dynamics and an MSc in Food Policy where he explored motivations and barriers to the adoption of intercropping. Joel has a passion for teaching and sharing a combination of scientific and practical information and has lectured to farming audiences internationally.
