This aims at managing to try to prevent problems rather than just seeing what problems occur and treating them individually.

This session presented by Dr. Fred Magdoff, emeritus professor of plant and soil science at the University of Vermont. He is the author of numerous articles and books on soils and the ecological crisis, among the most recent are the new edition of Building Soils for Better Crops (written with Harold van Es, due for publication in July 2021), Healing the Soil Carbon Rift, and Creating an Ecological Society (with Chris Williams).
