This webinar is about giving space to Terrylynn Será: Sera Brant, who is from the Kanyenkehaka Mohawk Nation, Turtle Clan.

A lifelong gardener, she established Canada’s First Indigenous Seed Sanctuary specializing in Haudenosaunee seed ways which includes a healing Mother Earth plant trail inspired by the Carolinian Forest. In 2018 Terrylynn built an off-grid Earthship as a location for Food Sovereignty Mentees and garden volunteers to join her in our collective responsibility of healing Mother Earth through agriculture and land relations activism.

Speaking from her experience in Land healing education, Indigenous gardening, Land Relations Education, and Food Sovereignty, she will explore the theme of Regenerative agriculture through Indigenous eyes and share her insights on how to take care of the land and how to do collective work that values Indigenous ancestral knowledge.

Terrylynn Será:sera Brant, Kanyenkehaka Mohawk Nation, Turtle Clan lives at Frogpond, the heart of Six Nations. Terrylynn, a lifelong gardener, established Canada’s First Indigenous Seed Sanctuary specializing in Haudenosaunee seed ways which includes a healing Mother Earth plant trail inspired by the Carolinian Forest. In 2018 Terrylynn built an off-grid Earthship as a location for Food Sovereignty Mentees and garden volunteers to join her in our collective responsibility of healing Mother Earth through agriculture and land relations activism. After 35 yrs in Indigenous education she wrote “Culturally Relevant Aboriginal Education” and now she authors a newspaper column called “In My Longhouse Basket” which will soon form a new book. She continues to teach ”Land Healing Education”, consults on Indigenous gardening, Land Relations Education, Food Sovereignty and is an international speaker making appearances at the United Nations Food Security Summits. She is the proud recipient of the Great Lakes Indigenous Farmers’ “Old Tyme Farmers Award” and many others.
