Regeneration Youth

“The young generation can influence their elders, and can make them understand the environmental problems that are faced by us today. The youth can make them see that our environment is deteriorating day by day.” - Oren Lyon, indigenous rights activist

Today’s youth hold a unique stake in the food, agriculture and climate discussion. The younger generations did not create the systems and policies that have led to the global degradation of the environment. Yet they will inherit it.

No group of individuals has more to lose if we fail to address climate change—or more to gain if we embrace the concept of regeneration—than our children and grandchildren.

Regeneration Youth (RY) aims to engage and mobilize young people from all walks of life, representing a wide range social, environmental, political and economic justice issues, in the growing movement to regenerate our food, agriculture and land-use systems as the pathway to restoring our soils, waterways, health, farms, communities and economies—and to restabilizing our climate.

This still relatively new yet fast-growing project seeks young leaders from around the world who are motivated to reach out to their peers and engage them in education campaigns aimed at changing consumer behavior and influencing local policy to advance regenerative food and farming as the solution to the multiple health, environmental, social, political and climate crises facing their generation.
